The Average GPA of a Beta Sig Brother in Spring '11 was 3.07/4.0

The active chapters of Beta Sigma Psi made an outstanding performance scholastically last Spring semester, rounding out a year with an average grade point of 3.07.

This GPA is based on the previous semesters grades from all of the active chapters of the fraternity. Only four of the nine houses that did not achieve at least a 3.0 GPA were just short of achieving it. All other houses earned a 2.9 or higher.

Highlighting the list of Beta Sig Chapters achieving academic excellence was Omega Chapter at Indiana University, Delta Chapter at the University of Nebraska, Iota Chapter at the University of Missouri, and Alpha-Alpha chapter at Midland Lutheran College in Nebraska.

Omega Chapter and Alpha-Alpha Chapter, the fraternities newest collegiate chapters, ranked first on their campus in grades amongst Greek organaizations.

Congratulations on a fabulous academic year!

Beta Sigma Psi encourages high scholastic standards amongst it members. After all, associate and active members are in college to gain an education. The National Fraternity sends out certificates of achievement to brothers who obtain a GPA of above 3.0 (4 point scale) each semester.

Each year, the Beta Sigma Psi Educational Foundation sponsors partial collegiate scholarships in three categories:
  • Academic Achievement
  • Campus Involvement
  • Financial Need

Beta Sigma Psi also awards scholarships to seminary students who are Beta Sigma Psi alumni. Applicants can be at any point in their seminary training, but must be alumni in good standing.

The Board of Directors of the Beta Sigma Psi Educational Foundation looks forward to receiving your scholarship application.
